CASE LOGIC – LoDo Backpacks

Case Logic LODO

Probably the most sophisticated collection from Case Logic, the LoDo range of backpacks are designed with a contemporary look that gives you a stylish edge that’s great for the office or the classroom.

Today we are going to be reviewing both LoDo Large and Medium backpacks. I’ll give you a comparison on both models inside and out so you’d be able to make a more sound decision on which is suitable for you and your lifestyle.

LoDo Medium Backpack

The LoDo Medium Backpack is a great carry for a smart-casual lifestyle. Whether you’re a budding executive eager to make an impression or a student looking for a carry that’s versatile for both books and fun, the LoDo backpack is ideal.

As the name suggests, the Medium Backpack is “just nice”. Neither too big or too small and is comfortable for large or more petite backs.

What I love most about the LoDo backpack is its “less-is-more” look. Pockets and compartments are neatly tucked away, revealing only subtle genuine leather touch-points. The Medium Backpack has a padded laptop compartment that fits laptop sizes up to 15.6 inch display. There is also a designated compartment for 10 inch tablets or iPads.

One of my favorite features is the wide access into the bag. This allows you to be able to see everything you need at a glance. LODP114_FS_01

At the front, you have easy access external accessory pockets with magnetic snap-closure. Great for your wallet, phone, keys…etc. One of the pockets actually come with a key holder.

LoDo Large Backpack

The LoDo Large Backpack has a more “outdoorsy” look to it. In my opinion it looks more like a rucksack with it’s buckle flaps and care-free shape. Great for traveling. Even though its called the Large Backpack but its only slightly bigger than the Medium Backpack. It still fits petite and large size backs comfortably with its padded shoulder straps and back panel.

The LoDo Large Backpack comes with a large flap which buckles for added security. Like the Medium Backpack, it also has a padded compartment that fits a 15.6 inch display laptop plus a designated compartment for a 10 inch tablet or iPad.

One of the key difference in the Large Backpack is the draw-string closure (very similar to the Larimer Rucksack) beneath the top load flap. Benefits of a draw-string closure is the flexibility to allow more room so that you can bring more with you.

There is also a discrete zippered phone pocket to keep your precious device safe. This feature is also available on the LoDo Medium Backpack. LODP115_FS_02.jpg

At the front, the Large Backpack also features easy access external accessory pockets with magnetic snap-closure ideal for quick access items like your passport and boarding pass, car keys…etc.

In case you didn’t notice, the Large Backpack retails at a slightly lower price than the Medium Backpack. Strange but true. haha! So if you are looking at it purely on value for money, a larger backpack for lesser, you’d probably just go ahead with the Large Backpack. I personally prefer the overall features on the Medium Backpack (because I prefer zips to draw string) so that would be my choice.

Overall, the one thing that’s really the puller for me is the 25 year warranty that Case Logic offers on these bags. That just shows the confidence that Case Logic has in their products.
